O d\u00e9fice de alfa 1 antitripsina ocorre quando uma muta\u00e7\u00e3o gen\u00e9tica da prote\u00edna AAT \u00e9 produzida no f\u00edgado e o organismo \u00e9 incapaz de a colocar na circula\u00e7\u00e3o sangu\u00ednea, conduzindo a situa\u00e7\u00f5es de n\u00edveis reduzidos ou nulos da prote\u00edna no sangue.
